New York Times best-selling author and Registered Dietician Janis Jibrin expected her book, “The Pescetarian Plan,” to sell pretty well. After all, she has a pretty solid track record of writing health and nutrition books that resonate with consumers.

But this time around, sales didn’t quite hit the mark. The book, published in 2014, was inspired by what she was seeing around her in Washington D.C., where she lives.

“My friends, my milieu, these are people who are more health conscience and educated, are becoming pescetarians or are already pescetarians,” Jibrin told me.
