Dear Editor,
I was imagining the impression that the Reuters article might leave in a consumers mind and concluded that it’s not good and very misleading as the information has no reference point other that versus previous years and versus producer.

The word “antibiotics” is generally negative – particularly in reference to food.
This is my response.
What is the purpose of this article?
Could it be to scare consumers away from healthy nutritious and perfectly safe Chilean salmon?
For honesty and integrity -- what's missing in this story?
- The salmon are absolutely safe by both Sernapesca and FDA standards and tests!
- The antibiotics used are only used to treat salmon that are sick with a disease for which there is no effective vaccine at this time and they would will die if not treated.
