I was disappointed to read Jose Villalon’s response to John Fiorillo’s recent commentary, “Consolidate the eco-label alphabet.”
GAA is not in favor of consolidation of standards, because the job of maintaining and administering world-class standards is beyond the task of one organization.
To successfully develop responsible aquaculture practices, it will take a number of dedicated standards-holders pulling in same direction.
