There are still many things in the seafood industry that continue to confuse me.
- If you can’t beat ‘em … How is it that the US catfish industry was for so long the only catfish in the market, yet it was rolled over in the blink of an eye by pangasius from Vietnam. US catfish is farm raised, receives plenty of government support (financially, etc.), has one of the largest seafood markets in the world at its disposal – but still just stood and watched as pangasius sped by.
