Lessons to be learned from chickens
IntraFish has seen many a company presentation citing seafood’s status as the most traded commodity in the world as a positive, but today Jon Birgir Gunnarsson, managing director of Marel’s fish industry center asked whether this was really such a good thing.
“Are there too many links between consumer and product?” he asked, saying that the industry is very much in need of consolidation and that long supply chains mean slowed product development.
