TWO FEEDS-making equipment manufacturers from the USA have just announced additions to their technology aimed at getting the best out of the feed-making process.
In May, Wenger Manufacturing acquired the machinery division of fellow Sabetha, Kansas, based extruder specialist Extru-Tech (FFI, June 2000). Now, both have introduced new technology.
Wenger has introduced two improvements to its patented Differential Diameter Cylinder (DDC) preconditioner that further add to its importance in the performance of Wenger's total extrusion cooking system.
Extru-Tech, meanwhile, has unveiled its new Airflow Two dryer/cooler technology to make the process more efficient.
