The Aquaculture Innovation Challenge closed round one with 15 projects moving on to round two. The challenge seeks to find new ideas to solve sustainability challenges in the Vietnamese aquaculture sector, which has a $6 billion (€5.6 billion) turnover rate.

Innovations can impact breeding, feeding, farming, post-harvest and waste, branding or marketing. The ones chosen to move on address issues such as sustainable feed, environmental monitoring and control systems.

After the second round ends April 27, a boot camp phase begins in June and the overall competition winner can pitch to potential seafood investors.
