In February, the team at Pentair’s PAES W.A.T.E.R. (World Aquaculture Technology Engineering and Research) center conducted the first fish harvest from its 12,500 sq. ft. indoor aquaculture operation.

In total, 10,564 lbs (4.8 metric tons) of tilapia were transferred from the Pentair recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) to tanks on the live fish hauling truck. This cohort of fish, the first grow-out from the facility, was grown for 242 days from fingerlings of 0.73 grams to approximately 682 grams (1.5 lbs) each.
