UK trout producer Dawnfresh Seafoods reported yet another year in the red, despite increased export and retail sales.

Losses grew 20 percent to £8.9 million (€10.4 million/$11.6 million), compared to the year prior, due to increased costs from the expansion of both processing facilities in Uddingston and Arbroath.

Revenues increased 14 percent to £73 million (€85.6 million/$96 million) in the year ending March 2019, driven by UK retail growth and strengthened export sales, which rose 8 percent and 33 percent respectively.
