Turkish seabream and sea bass producers stocking levels are “very worrying,” and while the situation is not expected to develop into a price crisis, it may be detrimental for European markets, according to executives at Spanish and Greek firms.

“At the moment there are other emerging markets, and there is demand, but that is not to say that we are not worried about how much sea bream and sea bass Turkey is producing,” Javier Ojeda, director of the Spanish Business Association of Aquaculture (Apromar), told IntraFish.
