US-based Taylor Shellfish Farms has purchased the Ekone Oyster Company, located in Bay Center, Washington, from Nick and Joanne Jambor.

The purchase includes the farm’s property, equipment, nursery and processing facilities, smokehouse and 350 acres of tidelands on Willapa Bay.

Ekone Oyster Company produces live in-shell oysters and fresh shucked oysters as well as a popular array of smoked fish and shellfish.

Taylor Shellfish plans to continue use of the Ekone brand and products and service Ekone’s customers. Nick and Joanne Jambor will continue to oversee the business and employees in the months ahead to ensure a smooth transition.
