BIG MOLLUSC producer Taylor Shellfish Company is now using Aquapurses for growing oysters in Washington state, and is distributing this Australian designed and produced product to other shellfish growers on the US west coast.
Aquapurse, produced by Tooltech Pty Ltd of Brisbane, and sold under the Ploma brand, is a fully assembled, easy-to-use grow-out system used primarily for all species of oysters.
Tooltech's Reg Breakwell was helping to man the Taylor Shellfish booth at last month's Aquaculture 2004 exhibition in Hawaii, fielding many questions about Aquapurses, Aquatrays and other Ploma brand products.
