Norwegian salmon farmer Nordlaks is among a group of firms poised to invest up to $125 million (€118 million) in land-based salmon company Atlantic Sapphire, which has retained DNB Markets and Arctic Securities to oversee the fund raising.

The net proceeds from the private placement stock offer will be used to fully fund Atlantic Sapphire's Phase 2 development, the company said in a stock exchange announcement Tuesday.

In connection with the private placement, DNB Bank has approved an extension to April 2024 of a $98 million (€93 million) term loan and a $20 million ((€19 million) term loan to be used towards Phase 2 construction.
