SALMCO Technik of Hamburg, Germany, says it has just received an order from an Asian project for 12 of its newly developed SM 3026 semi-automatic frozen salmon slicers.

The project is an international joint venture between Japanese and European companies.

Based on 16 years' experience, the company believes that the design offers "easy handling, operation, cleaning and service".

The slicer is microprocessor controlled and able to store up to 99 pre- set programs. It can make around 55 to 60 cuts a minute and achieve a yield of 98 to 99% when used with Salmco's own-design carriage.
