Norwegian salmon farming giant SalMar harvested 41,400 metric tons across its operations in the second quarter of this financial year, about 21 percent more than the same period last year.

The company harvested 35,400 metric tons in the first quarter of 2019.

SalMar's central Norway farm operations accounted for under 60 percent of total harvests, while northern Norway harvests were about 34 percent of the total amount.
