IntraFish: Describe your business -- what is your focus?

Fernando Garcia: Sea Farmers is a company that has the capacity to produce many mollusks -- scallops (atrina maura), paw mule (anadara tuberculosa) venus clams (chione fructifraga) and oysters as well as the Japanese, Kumamoto -- that are in warm climates and tempered by the region in which we [are]. Products, except the Japanese oyster, are exploited in Mexico sustainably.

Sea Farmers was supported by federal authorities (CONAPESCA) for the construction of the first bivalve molluscs farm, with an area of 32 hectares with microalgae production areas of 20 hectares.
