As reported earlier in this issue, aquaculturists from all over Australia and adjacent countries attended the Aquafest conference and trade exhibition held this year at Hobart, the capital of Tasmania.
It was my privilege to be invited by the Tasmanian Aquaculture Council to be a keynote speaker at this major conference, and I enjoyed the trip.
There was also some spare time to visit a few oyster farms and shellfish hatcheries, and this tour provides the content for my column this month.
