OPTIMAR Iceland has now emerged as an independent company which is expected to work closely with partners in Norway.
After the Norwegian parent company Optimar went bankruptcy in Norway, Optimar Iceland's Gudmundur Jon Matthiasson - who has been involved with the company since an Icelandic branch was set up - took the opportunity to buy the company.
He has since taken on further shareholders, including Reynir Gudjonsson, formerly of electronics company Ismar, who takes over as Optimar Iceland's sales and marketing manager.
