Oman's Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries signed a deal with Blue Water Company to utilize its aquaculture center to boost fingerling production in the country, reports Times of Oman.

The agreement comes after the ministry realized the importance of providing fingerlings from within the country to improve the aquaculture industry.

Blue Water Company imported 300,000 seabream, which will be raised in the ministry’s aquaculture center to a weight of 2 grams before transferring them to the company’s floating cages.

After that, the company will hatch seabream fish inside the center instead of relying on imports.
