Norwegian firm Svaberget Smolt on Tuesday announced plans to build a new hatchery in Nærøy, Norway.

The company, which was bought by SinkabergHansen in 2017, estimates construction work will commence this fall.

Negotiations are ongoing with AKVA group to deliver processing equipment to the facility, which will cost around NOK 300 million (€31.1 million/$35.2 million).

AKVA group already participated in the pre-engineering of the hatchery.
