FOLLOWING the very successful introduction of potent products for bio-security and disease control in shrimp farming over the last couple of years, Inve Aquaculture's health division has developed a line of innovative products for disease prevention in finfish production.
"Our mission is to develop and market pioneering and cost-effective health management tools for the production of aquaculture species, " Dr Patrick Lavens, head of the aqua-health division, tells FFI. "In this way we aim to contribute to more reliable productions of high-quality fish and shellfish without the need for prophylactic usage of antibiotics, both at hatchery and farm level."
