MMC TENDOS of Eggesbones, Norway, has delivered a new grading machine for live fish to wellboat Mowi Star.
The company says its grader can sort live salmon as well as trout and cod, all with good results, due to the machine's rotating rollers.
"We've have supplied a lot of graders with rotating rollers before, but this has only been considered for dead fish so far, " says MMC Tendos.
"However, after seeing how live fish struggled in order to make it through a traditional grading machine, we decided to make a roller machine."
