Grieg Seafood, Bremnes Seashore and Vest Havbruk's NOK 300 million ($36.7 million/€35.5 million) Tytlandsvik Aqua facility is now open for production, the companies announced.

Tytlandsvik Aqua officially opens land-based post-smolt production facility in Rogaland, Norway, which will help Oslo-listed Grieg Seafood cut sea production down to 12 months.

The three seafood giants Grieg Seafood, Bremnes Seashore and Vest Havbruk each own a third of Tytlandsvik Aqua.

The recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) facility already has fish growing at a rate of 2 percent per day.
