LIGHTHOUSE Caledonia, the salmon farming company formed in the leftover of the merger of Pan Fish Scotland, parts of Marine Harvest and Fjord Seafood Scotland, is to cut between 50 and 70 jobs from its 356-strong workforce - decrease of some 25 to 20% - in an effort to improve efficiency, according to the company.

It says that the reorganisation, which will lead to job losses across all parts of the business and in all its locations in Scotland's Western Isles, the west coast and Argyll region, will result in savings of some £1 million (US$1.97m)
