DIVERSIFIED industrial group Legris Industries has reached an agreement for the acquisition of France's Clextral, a "world leader in extrusion" for applications in food processing, chemicals, plastics and speciality papers.
Employing 200 people and reporting annual sales of €42 million, Clextral specialises in the design, manufacture, assembly and maintenance of industrial equipment and turnkey production lines.
Over the past 30 years, Clextral has played a pioneering role in the development of twin-screw extrusion technology for the processing of food and paper pulp, in particular for use in bank-note and security papers.
