Huon Aquaculture said it has obtained evidence the salmon industry in Macquarie Harbour, Australia, has damaged the World Heritage Area (WHA) that borders the fish pens, reports ABC News.
The company has underwater vision from 1 kilometer inside the WHA boundary showing the bacteria beggiatoa, which is used by regulators as a sign that salmon farms are having an impact on the environment.
