FTC SWEDEN AB has been participating in seafood shows around the world to introduce its new and improved hand power tools for gutting, de-scaling, pin-boning, trimming/filleting and removing parasites from salmon and other fish.
FFI has talked with Jan Soderlind, FTC's president, at several shows from Brussels, Belgium, to Seattle, USA, where he outlined some of his company's latest developments.
One of the smallest and lightest pin-boners on the market is FTC's Ergo- Light. Named after its ergonomic design, this patented, hand-operated tool has a novel plucking action which is claimed to gently remove pin bones from virtually all fresh or defrosted and smoked fillets.
