BRETTS Wharf, one of Brisbane's top seafood restaurants, has had farmreared soft-shell crab on its menu since the beginning of this year.

"We've been working very closely with Angus Cameron of Watermark Seafoods, " Alastair McLeod, Bretts Wharf's executive chef, tells FFI.

"He basically took the technology that the Department of Primary Industries developed and has run with it and has been seeking backers.

"To my knowledge there are two companies producing soft-shell crab in Queensland: Angus and some people on the Goldcoast hinterland.
