Update:

As of Tuesday evening, a barge was "brought to the site for secure temporary storage of the waste materials being generated consistent with the waste management plan. Responders on site continue work to contain and collect recoverable diesel at the fish farm," according to British Columbia.

The BC Ministry of Environment staff are conducting sampling with a consultant, a First Nations representative and a response officer from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).

It was determined about 500-600 liters of diesel fuel spilled from a Fuel transfer pump from a Cermaq fish farm in Echo Bay.
