French supermarket retailer Auchan has withdrawn a line of whole uncooked shrimp from sale because of excessive sulphites.
Customers were told that the products sold loose could cause an allergic reaction and were warned not to consume them.
The warning will stay in place until Jan. 24.
In the past 10 days Auchan has also pulled lines of Cultimer, Distrimers and Monbrun produced oysters citing evidence of novovirus.
