A NEW koi fry feed developed by Coppens International of the Netherlands is said to help reduce significantly the amount of deformed koi frys.
According to Coppens, the koi sector is highly professional and large sums of money are paid for the most beautiful koi characterised by many as living jewels.
Koi breeding focuses on unique colour patterns and a lean but muscular torpedo shape. There are many colour varieties and all have their own special value. By selective breeding with carefully selected parent fish the number of valuable individuals in the offspring can be increased.
