APROMAR (Asociacion Empresarial de Productores de Cultivos Marinos), the Spanish marine fish farmers' association, has entered a new, more dynamic phase, says Javier Ojeda Gonzalez-Posada, the association's new general manager, who was appointed in April.
This spring Apromar was reorganised to better accommodate it in Spain's administrative system. Much of the responsibilities for aquaculture lie with the regional governments, not the central administration in Madrid.
