EGALSA (Envases de Galicia SA), established in 1992 to produce materials and machines for packaging shellfish and other products, is building a new 3000sq m factory in Boiro, in Galicia's La Coruna province.
The company produces mesh sacks and tubular netting for packing mussels, clams, oysters and other shellfish. Other products include clipping machines, bag closing machines, graders, automatic packing lines, washing and brushing machines, tub handling machines, wooden boxes and a range of ancillary items such as wire, clips, staples, labels and straps.
