GRUPO Dibaq-Diproteg - Dibaq - has undergone significant expansion since FFI visited two years ago, and new projects will further boost its output for the Mediterranean.
As reported last month, Dibaq is expected to start work on a new plant at Fuentepelayo, which could be up and running by 2001.
Investment last year in its Fuentepelayo, Segovia, facility was around Pts400 million (US$2.56m), adding to the Pts500m ($3.2m) spent on its plant acquired in Italy, Dibaq Italia. Located on the Adriatic coast north of Ancona, it is a joint venture with the Angelini group.
