Opposition is mounting against Dawnfresh's four applications for fish farms in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland, reports The Lochside Press.

The plans by Dawnfresh to farm rainbow trout at Ardentinny, Bute and Great and Little Cumbrae have each been submitted separately.

“It is clear that the applicant has a single project for a large-scale expansion of fish farm activity in the Firth of Clyde area," said a spokesperson for Scottish National Heritage.

“It appears that the applicant has ‘salami sliced’ this project into four separate screening/scoping applications which will all be subject to individual planning applications."
