US CONSOLIDATED Catfish Producers have announced a partnership with Chilean Caleta Bay to market Caleta Bay rainbow steelhead trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the US under the Caleta Bay brand.
Consolidated is owned by the largest fish farmers group in the USA, processing more than 400,000lb (181 tonnes) of fish per day in its Mississippi plants. It markets fresh and frozen fillets to major supermarket chains, restaurant distributors and other accounts, with daily deliveries nationwide.
Consolidated was formed recently by the merger of Delta Pride Catfish with Country Select, both known in the US for their emphasis on high quality products and customer service, claims Consolidated.
