The British Trout Association has been working on the behalf of the UK's commercial trout farmers since 1983. FFI interviews DAVID BASSETT, BTA executive officer FFI: Could you first tell us a bit about the BTA and the UK trout farming industry?

BTA: The BTA works primarily as a go between the farmers and regulatory bodies. Not all trout farmers are members of the British Trout Association, there's probably around 300 or so total farmers in the UK, with only 86 at the moment belonging to the Association.
