Indian shrimp producer BMR Industries Private Ltd. is the first vertically integrated supplier of Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) shrimp, following certification of its feed mill.
The company is now considered "four star" BAP certified, meaning the group can trace certification back to the mill and through its hatcher, farm and processing plant.
BMR targeted four-star BAP certification soon after its new feed facility was completed last year. The plant, based in Nellore, India, can produce 80,000 metric tons of feed annually.
