Polish salmon farmer Jurassic Salmon is the first land-based salmon farm to achieve Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification.
The company, who is the world’s first fully organic salmon farm, has operated since 2013 using thermal water from 150 million years ago.
Their ASC audit was conducted by fisheries and aquaculture certifier Acoura.
“We have a number of customers interested in ASC certified fish and we feel being certified will be of benefit to us,” said Michal Kowalski, production manager at Jurassic Salmon.
