Orkney shellfish Skipper Lee Mowat is now crabbing from Burwick on South Ronaldsay, Orkney with his new Cygnus Typhoon 33 Polaris K 122.
Cygnus Marine fitted out Polaris to 95% completion at Cornwall, so that when the fast crabber arrived in Orkney, only the fuel and hydraulic pipe lines, along with the wheelhouse electronics, needed to be installed.
Generally fishing creels in the Pentland Firth to the south and west of Orkney, Skipper Lee Mowat will work Polaris single-handed, as he did with his previous boat, the Cygnus Cyclone 30 Faith Hope K122, which he took delivery of in 2002 to replace his previous command Mainstay, an Offshore 27.
