AT FISHING 2001, John Deere of the USA will be showing off its latest marine engine in the Powertech range: the 8.1L 6081 AFM.
This engine has an output of 375 hp at 2400 rpm and John Deere says it is one of the most fuel efficient in its class.
US crabber Danny Elburn had doubts when he first saw the small size of the Powertech 8.1L. The engine looked too compact to power his 45 ft. Southern Yankee, he felt.
