Two years late, whitefish group takes delivery of new trawler

The vessel is the second of three ordered by FOR Group companies as part of an investment-for-quotas initiative that has become increasingly strained by sanctions, rising costs and logistical chaos.

The Kapitan Taran, built in Vyborg Shipyard, was delivered to Russian whitefish harvester FOR Group's subsidiary LKT. The vessel is 80 meters long and has 2,375 cubic meters of hold capacity for frozen cargo.
