Belarusian seafood processor Santa Bremor plans to shift surimi stick production to its Russian Sea plant in Noginsk near Moscow.

Santa Bremor acquired Russian Sea from Maxim Vorobyov, the brother of Moscow's regional governor Andrey Vorobyov, and Russian tycoon Gennady Timchenko in 2013.

Santa Bremor’s plan is most likely the result of difficulties the company is facing related to purchasing raw materials because of sanctions related to the war in Ukraine, German Zverev, president of the All-Russian Association of Fishermen (VARPE), told Russian media.
