The Mexican government has granted global tilapia giant Regal Springs, the world's largest integrated tilapia farmer, a 10-year license for the renewal and expansion of its Mexico operations.

Regal Springs has been growing its tilapia aquaculture operations in the Mexican state of Chiapas over the last two decades. The operation is located in the remote Ostuacan region on the lakes of Malpaso and Penitas.

Regal Springs said the license is a sign of the government's support for its contributions to the Chiapas region.
