Icelandic cod prices sag as strong volumes, weak foodservice markets collide

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a far-reaching impact on important markets for Icelandic cod, but the industry remains positive -- if not bullish.

The current problems in South Europe combined with the large increase in the Barents Sea quota, means there is naturally a discussion about whether prices will fall further, but there are other markets looking to absorb the excess in supply.
