The supply of wild whitefish in 2022 is projected to hold relatively stable, with only a small decline in Atlantic cod harvests impacting the overall output, according to figures released at the Groundfish Forum on Wednesday.

Experts projected an overall global groundfish harvest of 7.095 million metric tons, down just 0.68 percent from the estimated harvest in 2021.

Alaska pollock harvests are projected to remain flat next year, with an estimated global harvest of 3.49 million metric tons.

The US Alaska pollock harvest is expected to hold steady at 1.505
