The Greek aquaculture industry is lending a hand amid Covid-19 by supplying farmed fish to prepare meals for healthcare workers in Athens for the next four weeks.

The Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Association (HAPO) took the initiative to support the #Cook4Heroes campaign, which was formed by a set of restaurants to prepare free meals for the hospital staff in Athens.

Some of the supporting restaurants include By the Glass, Cardinal, Bocca Negra, and CTC which is owned by HAPO's ambassador chef Alexandros Tsiotinis.

Just months after seabass and seabream company Andromeda finalized a major merger, the group is now tackling the challenges brought about by coronavirus in its key Greek, Italian and Spanish markets.
