Brazilian tilapia cooperative C.Vale is investing BRL 552 million (€84.1 million/$98.1 million) to build a new soybean crushing plant at its Palotina industrial complex in the South American nation's southern Parana state.

The new unit, capable of processing 2,500 metric tons of soy a day as well as producing oil and bran, will be a source for the company's feed. The plant's capacity could later be expanded to 3,000 metric tons.
