Members of Alaska's congressional delegation are weighing in on a dispute between US-based pollock giant American Seafoods and other Alaska seafood suppliers and the US Customs and Border Protection agency (CBP) related to how the companies move product from Dutch Harbor facilities to the eastern United States.

CBP has fined companies involved more than $350 million (€300 million) in recent weeks.

Alaska Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski is aware of the issue, her communications director Karina Borger told IntraFish, and "has encouraged CBP to meet with the pollock producers to address the issue."
