The UK Government announced Tuesday a ban on exports to Russia of high-end luxury goods, while also hitting hundreds of key products with new import tariffs, including whitefish.
The UK will deny Russia and Belarus access to most favored nation (MFN) tariff for hundreds of their exports, depriving both nations key benefits of World Trade Organization (WTO) membership.
The UK government also published an initial list of goods worth £900 million (€1.1 billion/$1.2 billion) - including whitefish - which will now face additional 35 percent tariff on top of current tariffs.
